This is sooooo good. You have to make it to understand. Words cannot describe the happiness I experience when eating this soup :)  Any ground meat can be used and feel free to improvise- the main ingredients that you need are: meat, pickle juice, mustard, and broth...everything else is just bonus.

Ingredients: 

Venison Cheeseburger Soup

Directions:

1lb ground venison

1/2 large onion, diced

1 carrot, finely diced

1 stalk celery, finely diced

3 Tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic

1 large tomato, diced

2 1/2 bone broth

1/3 cup pickle juice

2 Tablespoons dijon mustard

1 Tablespoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper 


Toppings:

Crispy Bacon

Shredded lettuce or cabbage

Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Sliced Pickles

Fresh Parsley (optional)

Heat soup pot over medium high heat. Brown ground venison with 1 Tablespoon of butter. Add remaining butter, onion, carrot, and celery. Sauté until onions are translucent. Add remaining ingredients and simmer on low for 1 hour. Adjust salt to taste. Serve with toppings.
